This is one the three Littorio Class battleship available from Trumpeter in 1/700 scale.
It has the typical trumpeter hull, molded in red, split at the waterline with the balance of the kit in gray.

In hindsight, I wish I had replaced the mainmast with a tapered brass mast. The kit mast is a little on the flimsy side and I was unable run any riging without the thing breaking off.
With three ships of the class available, I'm tempted to build one of it's sisters with the splinter camouflage
